Having taught in higher education since 1993, Tim Mousel is a full-time faculty member in the Kinesiology department at LSC-Online, serves as the Department Chair of Chemistry, Kinesiology, and Physics, and Chair of the AI Task Force. He is on a one-year special assignment, working directly with the Lone Star College Chancellor's office in the Department of Strategic Innovation. Tim is also a business owner, having founded Evolve AI Institute LLC.

An award-winning educator, Tim has been honored with the 2022 Lone Star College-Online Faculty Excellence Award, the 2023 NISOD Excellence Award, and the 2023 & 2025 Master Presenter - International Conference on Teaching and Leadership Excellence from the University of Texas.

Tim's insights on the impact of generative AI on higher education have been featured twice in Forbes magazine. Harvard University has also recognized his innovative approach, publishing his work in the Harvard AI Pedagogy Project.

In September 2025, Tim was invited to the White House to participate in the White House AI Task Force on Artificial Intelligence Education, contributing to national discussions shaping the future of AI policy and education. The following month, he was one of a select group of leading educators and higher education administrators invited by OpenAI to its inaugural Higher Education Forum in San Francisco, a global gathering focused on reimagining higher education through AI.

A highly sought-after keynote speaker and TEDx speaker, he has delivered presentations at prominent conferences and events nationwide. His expertise extends to esteemed government organizations, where he serves as an AI educational consultant for the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB). He has presented to the Department of Defense and Space Force on "Inspiring Innovation: Streamlining Tasks, Boosting Productivity".

Tim's passion for programming led him to develop two commercial, educational AI tools released before the advent of ChatGPT.

OpenAI Global Faculty AI Project: Featured in Professors Reshaping Pedagogy

Monica is a full-time professor of biology at Lone Star College - CyFair and a doctoral candidate in Curriculum and Instruction at TX A&M University. With substantial teaching experience spanning K-12 and higher education, Monica specializes in the integration of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and virtual reality into STEM and computational thinking curriculum.

She has served as a teacher of teachers in science education at various districts, including Bryan ISD, and has actively participated in teacher education research. Her expertise in pedagogy and technology, combined with a strong foundation in biology and human physiology, has contributed to NSF-funded research on interdisciplinary approaches that integrate computational thinking into science education.

As the inaugural AI and Online Engagement Faculty Fellow at LSC-CyFair, she has led transformative initiatives in AI literacy, curriculum design, and faculty development. Her work bridges AI advancements with practical teaching strategies to empower faculty and enrich student learning. Monica has authored STEM+C and AI-focused pedagogical content and has presented at regional and national conferences including NISOD, CAST, and ISTE.
